my weekend went like this.

Aside from General Conference (which was awesome), I did a lot of packing this weekend. Which lead to me finding this hat, and deciding to bring my camebak to Provo. Also I got some cinnamon roll frosting on the shirt I was originally wearing today and had to switch to a t-shirt. Also my feet were cold so I wore these rockin' socks. And these were the only shoes I brought home with me.

I think if I wore this around campus I might have more friends. Don't you?

circles

I've started this thing where I record myself in a video for my journal. It's faster, simpler, my kids can look at my face and hear their mom's voice when she was in college, and I can add inflection. So, win win (win win). Maybe I've already told you guys this. Anyway.

I just re-watched this one I made a month ago and oh my heavens my life is so awkward. I was just sitting alone in my room watching myself and cracking up because I have such awkward experiences in my life. I mean, really? It's too good. It's not fair to other people either because the funny stories I get out of this are priceless and I'm sure things are out of proportion and someone out there has a terribly boring life.

I guess I'm just really grateful I have so much awkward/funny/cool things/experiences/people going for me.

You ever heard of people's lives being circles? And it's like this whole map of circles and your circle intersects with those you interact with and for some people it's like they've got almost the same circle because you have the same friends and stuff? Ever heard of that? Anyway. I just really like my circle and wouldn't have any other one.

news flash

So, just found out a girl in my ward named Julia is NOT the same Julia in my Living Prophets class.

You could say it's been a stressful week.

Or month and a half? Because that's how long I've been thinking they're the same person.

Hi. Welcome to my awkward life.

2.07.2013

awkward and awesome.

Awkward:
-My roommate walking in when I was recording a video for my journal (that's how I do it, yo), and saying nothing. And I just stopped talking. Pretty sure she thinks I was talking to myself and am mentally unstable now, but what else is new?
-Knocking over the mirror yet again in the hallway and adding 7 more years of bad luck to the roommate tally. We're at about 28.
-Walking into my clogging class and seeing someone I'd rather avoid there, then never exchanging a word or a glance (we're going on 5 class periods of this now).
-The folk dance clothes I wear around campus. I know BYU students don't think I can dress myself, but I promise I can. And do (occasionally).
-Not being able to word a sentence correctly in a conversation with a cute boy and finishing by stumbling over everything and then, "Fade out. Like a song". Lowering my voice level as I backed away from him.

Awesome:
-The way the boy followed my lead and did the exact same thing.
-True Facts. Rainbows of ugly. Sloths that move faster than dead sloths.
-Valentine's decorations in the apartment, featuring our favorite couples like Ron & Hermione, Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper, Katniss & Peeta, and William & Kate.
-Getting to babysit Amalie on Thursday nights because of Katrina's new calling. Say hello to the favorite aunt.
-Library dates and homemade granola.

i know you didn't think lips could make this shape but apparently they can.

Just sitting here eating some banana bread and listening to Bronze Radio Return.

Hope you're having a lovely week - it's almost Friday!

creepster.

Nothing like being the absolute biggest social media creep alone in your bedroom before you've even stepped from the comfort of your bed to make you realize you're doing something wrong. And you're super creepy.

Like super.

Someone should probably sedate you and send you to an insane asylum because you're legitimately creeping yourself out.

It's definitely possible (and even probable, in this day and age) that everyone else out there is just as much a creep as me when it comes to this kind of thing. If that's the case, then I guess everyone being creepy makes no one creepy. Right? Right. We'll go with that.

Also, in the lovely meander that was my creeping on the internet, I came to the realization that my writing is not as good as I think it is. Perchance you remember me bring this up a while ago, when I talked about my diminished smarts since I've began University study? Well, it hit me again and this time I'm going to recommit myself to putting more effort even into my blog writing. As fun as it is for you to read what comes out of my head in near stream-of-consciousness, I think this will be an improvement for you.

Back to the creepy (we can't stay away from this for more than a minute with me). And the awkward, while we're at it (we legitimately can't get away from this ever with me, and you'll just have to accept that).

Before you go assuming I've handed out candy to children from a white van (though adventures of me and white vans have their own story, I'm telling you), I'll just come right out and admit (while still keeping it vague, because I'm creepy like that) I stalked someone's blog.

Wooo, big deal, I know, I know. We all do this in this generation. In fact, we're so creepy it's no longer abnormal to be called "followers" of others. It's become general slang and widely accepted for us to announce, "Oh yeah, I follow her." What?

The key to my creepiness being more creepy than you "following" me and reading my blog at this very moment comes in the knowledge of WHO I was stalking.

And that, my friends, will remain a mystery.

PS If you felt so inclined to share your biggest "creepster" moment in the comments, I wouldn't object. I might even pick a winner and also share mine.
