Today was such a good day. Like, really. I started my job at the MTC and GUYS I LOVE IT. I have to be at work at 7:10am and I'm not even dreading it. Did you hear that?! Not dreading a job. It's a miracle.
Wednesdays are the days new missionaries come in and today I got to sit and observe while they all filed into their classroom and met their companions and teachers. Serious flashbacks going on, back to the time when I shook Sister Chapman's hand instead of hugging her and it's now something she'll never let me live down. But good news - apparently being awkward like that is a general trend and I was no freak of nature. When my time with them was over though I honestly was jealous of all they had ahead of them that day and the rest of the time at the MTC and THEIR WHOLE MISSIONS. I was just so excited for them. They have no idea how good it's going to be.
Despite having such a stellar day I still had one of those moments when I was lying on my bed staring at my fake diamond earrings where suddenly life smacked me in the face and I was like, "What the heck am I doing with my life?" You know?
There's lots of major life decisions I have to make right about now and it was really nice to put those off for 18 months. Now they're staring me in the face and taunting things like "haha remember how you're awful at decisions?!" and "You can't even choose what meal to get at a restaurant so forget choosing a major you're happy with!" They're mean, those decisions.
Anyway. Life is full of ups and downs but really that's okay.
Here's some pictures of what I've been doing lately. In case you care.
