awkward and awesome.

Awkward:
-My roommate walking in when I was recording a video for my journal (that's how I do it, yo), and saying nothing. And I just stopped talking. Pretty sure she thinks I was talking to myself and am mentally unstable now, but what else is new?
-Knocking over the mirror yet again in the hallway and adding 7 more years of bad luck to the roommate tally. We're at about 28.
-Walking into my clogging class and seeing someone I'd rather avoid there, then never exchanging a word or a glance (we're going on 5 class periods of this now).
-The folk dance clothes I wear around campus. I know BYU students don't think I can dress myself, but I promise I can. And do (occasionally).
-Not being able to word a sentence correctly in a conversation with a cute boy and finishing by stumbling over everything and then, "Fade out. Like a song". Lowering my voice level as I backed away from him.

Awesome:
-The way the boy followed my lead and did the exact same thing.
-True Facts. Rainbows of ugly. Sloths that move faster than dead sloths.
-Valentine's decorations in the apartment, featuring our favorite couples like Ron & Hermione, Mr. Salt & Mrs. Pepper, Katniss & Peeta, and William & Kate.
-Getting to babysit Amalie on Thursday nights because of Katrina's new calling. Say hello to the favorite aunt.
-Library dates and homemade granola.

what is love?

Unfortunately I'm not about to write a post attempting to define love. I mean, I may think I'm a capable person, but I'm not THAT capable. Let's not get ahead of ourselves here.

No. Instead, I've decided to share with you this pretty incredible (in my opinion) playlist my roommate and I put together for this lovely lovey season (am I allowed to put those two words next to each other? Is lovey even a word? Because blogger doesn't seem to think so).

Also, as a side note, apologies for the amount of parenthetical statements I use in my writing. I have a problem, and my Human Geography TA pointed it out to me. I may attempt to fix that in my academic writings, but this is my domain so we're going to let the parenthetical statements stay (HA).

Back to this playlist. We wanted to put together some of the ultimate love songs for the season. Hard because such a large majority of songs are about love, but we didn't want to include just ANY song that is centered around love. It had to be special, and good. And we wanted lots of different genres. We wanted lots of things. It seemed when I searched for ideas online, I never got the right kind of recommendations, so I'm sharing ours.

Please don't feel like you need to read through this. You're more than welcome to, of course. But mostly I just think that there has to be a good list out there somewhere on the internet.

We think it's pretty stellar.

As a side note, this is not my taste in music, this is just my ultimate love playlist. If I was making a list of my favorite artists singing love songs, it'd probably look very different:

Ha. So the irony of this all is that I chose to write this blog post (including typing out all the songs because no, they weren't already written out) instead of writing a paper for marriage prep. So, love either way. Wish I could just use this list as my paper. I mean, look at all the work I put into that! Also, in case the marriage prep thing scared any of you, the answer is no. I'm not getting married and nowhere close, my roommates and I are taking it together and it's a great class. So calm it down.
